Open House
JEH MacDonald House  |  August  2014

Inspired by the Group of Seven

It’s hard to run an Open House without a schoolhouse of your own, so we were thrilled when we discovered JEH Thoreau MacDonald House – a hidden gem in the heart of Thornhill. Our curiosity about its history led us into a deep inquiry about the distinct Canadian landscape paintings of the Group of Seven. The result was an unforgettable day filled with creative energy and delight – connecting educators and families with art and nature – and opening our minds to the changing season at the start of the school year. Read all about this spectacular day here and here.
